Our church’s thrift shop, The Thrifty Church Mouse, is open Saturdays from 10-2. On September 11, the thrift shop will be holding a special 50¢ sale on all summer clothing ~ four rooms of bargains! After closing, our wonderful staff of volunteers will be converting the inventory to fall clothes and items to be sold beginning September 18.
Our Thrift Shop was founded by the United Methodist Women to raise church funds for mission projects and the church budget Over time, it became a community outreach, offering low-cost clothing and small bric-a-brac items at reasonable and in some cases, extraordinary prices. For example, men’s ties can cost up to $65 at Land’s End but are usually $1 or less at our thrift shop! In fact, one could buy ALL the ties in the display on the left for the price of ONE tie at Land’s End. Why shop anywhere else?
Whether you’re looking for a bargain or a selection of clean, hand-chosen, quality inventory, The Thrifty Church Mouse has it all! We have a particularly lovely selection of dresses on display, but new arrivals are always coming in! During the week, items may be dropped off on the thrift shop porch (but please no large items such as TVs, chairs, couches and mattresses ~ we don’t sell those!). Volunteers go through everything that is donated, select the best, and offer the rest to other agencies in our area, so nothing goes to waste. We invite you to stop in this or any Saturday to check us out ~ you won’t be disappointed, and any money you spend will go to good causes!
